As it’s been a month since my last post it’s about time I updated where I am…

Firstly not much progress has been made due to various other things getting in the way such as family holidays, catching a dose of the flu and a foreign business trip. The last of those things was productive in so far that it enabled me to bring home a set of brakes I previously purchased.

These are a kit for Z06 model Corvettes and are made by pbr here in Australia though as far as I can tell cannot be bought here in Australia. Anyway I’m happy about this as it moves the dinkum content of the car up a few %.

As it is I have this weekend to make some progress then it’s off to another part of the world for a week.

Front Brake

The fronts are 6 piston calipers running on 14″ diameter discs.

Rear Brake

The rears are 4 piston calipers running 13.4″ diameter discs.

These are not light weight items but they stop a 1432kg Corvette very well so they should stop my roughly 950kg car at least as well providing the setup in terms of master cylinder sizes etc is done properly.
