Some more progress to report… Basically more tubes tacked in, now the top side rails are done I think that the hardest part of the tube work has been done, I’ll want to rearrange that part of the design if ever another one of these gets built as it really was a pain to get right and ends up with some really awkward welding at the roll loop where the top rails are notched into it.

Here’s some of the welding at the main roll loop, there’s another gusset piece to go on top of the tube too.

At the current rate of progress tacking the main frame together may be more or less complete in another couple of weeks.
Here’s the week’s progress…

Doesn’t look like much but getting the side top rail fitted took several hours on its own.
A bit of progress has been made tacking on some of the frame, at this stage fitting each tube seams to involve endless repeated measurement to keep everything square and correct. As expected now I’m not working on the flat plane of the table things are more difficult. hopefully once the major tubes are located filling in the rest will be a lot quicker.

Also the brakes have been sourced a complete 4 wheel kit for a Corvette Z06 which look like:

The pictures may make the frame look taller than it really is, from the top of the table to the top of the roll frame is 975mm
