{"id":24,"date":"2007-05-07T22:06:32","date_gmt":"2007-05-07T14:06:32","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/guerillamotive.com\/?p=24"},"modified":"2007-05-07T22:06:32","modified_gmt":"2007-05-07T14:06:32","slug":"monday-may-07-2007","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/guerillamotive.com\/?p=24","title":{"rendered":"Monday May 07, 2007."},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Finally got around to catching the frame stress analysis model up to where the design model is this evening.<br \/>\nThe results are currently ~14.6kN &#8211; m (~10,700ft &#8211; lb) per degree which was my target from the model.<br \/>\nI&#8217;m not pretending that this is a definitive result, that can only be derived physical testing I would expect the reality of the frame stiffness on its own to be less than the analysis would suggest.<br \/>\nHowever I haven&#8217;t attempted to simulate the stiffening effects of the shear panels that will be riveted in or the windscreen that will be bonded in.  Trying to simulate the effect of a bonded in windscreen took the stiffness to in excess of 20kN &#8211; m per degree which again I think is excessive but shows that there will be a reasonable stiffening effect from the various shear panels.<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/guerillamotive.com\/Images\/Stress.jpg\" alt=\"Stress Displacements\" \/><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<div class=\"entry-summary\">\nFinally got around to catching the frame stress analysis model up to where the design model is this evening.
