{"id":63,"date":"2009-09-29T17:25:59","date_gmt":"2009-09-29T09:25:59","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/guerillamotive.com\/?p=63"},"modified":"2009-09-29T17:25:59","modified_gmt":"2009-09-29T09:25:59","slug":"september-29-2009","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/guerillamotive.com\/?p=63","title":{"rendered":"September 29, 2009."},"content":{"rendered":"<p>A recent business trip to the USA enabled me to retrieve some parts piled up at a buddies place&#8230;<\/p>\n<p>These are Corvette C5 axles the inner is no use to me and the shafts were too short, so for ease of transport they were cut down to just the parts I need.\u00c2\u00a0 These are stupidly expensive to buy new just the bits I needed, so this was the best way to go.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-medium wp-image-64\" title=\"DSC07314\" src=\"https:\/\/guerillamotive.com\/\/wp-content\/uploads\/2009\/09\/DSC07314-300x291.jpg\" alt=\"DSC07314\" width=\"300\" height=\"291\" srcset=\"https:\/\/guerillamotive.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2009\/09\/DSC07314-300x291.jpg 300w, https:\/\/guerillamotive.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2009\/09\/DSC07314-1024x994.jpg 1024w, https:\/\/guerillamotive.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2009\/09\/DSC07314.JPG 1957w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 300px) 100vw, 300px\" \/><\/p>\n<p>These are the parking brake assemblies, they fit inside the rear discs, as the stock Corvette solution its too easy just to follow, finding the parts for sale was the hardest part.\u00c2\u00a0 I expect most of these get trashed when the cars are broken up.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-medium wp-image-65\" title=\"DSC07317\" src=\"https:\/\/guerillamotive.com\/\/wp-content\/uploads\/2009\/09\/DSC07317-300x150.jpg\" alt=\"DSC07317\" width=\"300\" height=\"150\" srcset=\"https:\/\/guerillamotive.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2009\/09\/DSC07317-300x150.jpg 300w, https:\/\/guerillamotive.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2009\/09\/DSC07317-1024x514.jpg 1024w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 300px) 100vw, 300px\" \/><\/p>\n<p>The 1UZFE motor often came with a hydraulic pump to power the cooling fan, to ditch this another pulley bracket is required to keep the serpentine belt routing usable, the old pulley won&#8217;t fit either, so a new one of these is required.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-medium wp-image-66\" title=\"DSC07312\" src=\"https:\/\/guerillamotive.com\/\/wp-content\/uploads\/2009\/09\/DSC07312-300x180.jpg\" alt=\"DSC07312\" width=\"300\" height=\"180\" srcset=\"https:\/\/guerillamotive.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2009\/09\/DSC07312-300x180.jpg 300w, https:\/\/guerillamotive.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2009\/09\/DSC07312-1024x614.jpg 1024w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 300px) 100vw, 300px\" \/><\/p>\n<p>That&#8217;s it for the moment, at least I&#8217;m home for a little while now, so hopefully some progress can be made.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<div class=\"entry-summary\">\nA recent business trip to the USA enabled me to retrieve some parts piled up at a buddies place&#8230;
